FriendsWithYou is the collaborative project of Samuel Borkson, born in 1979 in Plantation, Florida, and Arturo Sandoval III, born in 1976 in Havana, founded in Miami in 2002 and now based in Los Angeles. The two work across sculpture, painting, immersive installation, performance and large-scale public art, building a cast of recurring characters around play, ritual and connection. Their Starchild was acquired by the City of Miami Beach for its permanent collection in 2022, and Little Cloud Sky, forty suspended Little Cloud characters, was commissioned by the Seattle Art Museum in 2025.
