Jane Manus

American, b. 1951

Jane Manus, born in 1951, is an American sculptor and a native of Florida. She studied at Rollins College and the Art Institute of Boston, graduating in 1973, where she learned to weld under the sculptor Michael Phillips. Since 1982 she has worked primarily in painted and brushed welded aluminium, making geometric, non-symmetrical abstractions that are frequently sited outdoors on corporate and public grounds. In 1996 the Georgia Museum of Art marked its opening and the Atlanta Olympic Games with an exhibition of her work; she has also held residencies at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens.
