Juraj (Juro) Kralik was born in Bratislava in 1963. He studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Bratislava from 1978 to 1982 and graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1988, working for years as a freelance photographer before turning to painting, drawing, graphics and sculpture. He divides his time between London and Bratislava. He has held seventeen solo exhibitions and taken part in more than a hundred group shows, and in 1999 conceived the Art Grand Slam project, producing over three hundred works with the tennis player Martina Navratilova.
