Taylor Smith is an American contemporary artist who lives and works in Indianapolis, Indiana. She studied at Indiana University and later spent a decade in Europe, including contemporary fine art study at the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste in Nurnberg and Berlin and sculpture study in Vence, France. Working in painting, assemblage and mixed media, she reconstructs obsolete technologies and commercial packaging, notably 3.5-inch floppy disks in her Vinyl Series. Her work was included in Hooking Up at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art in 2022, and she has received a Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship.
