The Connor Brothers is the shared name of the British artists Mike Snelle and James Golding, both former London gallery owners, who initially presented the work as that of fictional American twins raised in a cult. Snelle, born in Liverpool, graduated from Cambridge University in 2002 in philosophy. Their paintings and silkscreen prints rework 1950s pulp paperback covers and Penguin jackets, pairing found imagery with aphoristic text. They have exhibited in London, New York, Sydney, Berlin, Dubai and Hong Kong, and their work is held in collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Penguin Collection.
