Kozo, born Eden Kozokaro in 1996, grew up in Israel and moved to New York in 2020; he works from a private studio in Brooklyn. He is known for colour micro-realistic tattooing that combines classical art with pop-culture references, and he extends the same imagery onto canvas, paper and marble sculpture, using graphite, acrylic and oil and marking finished pieces with a coil tattoo machine whose needle is integrated into the work. He has described projects combining 1990s toys, Marvel imagery and Greek sculpture, and shows with galleries in the United States and Europe.
