Padina Bondar was born in Tehran and raised in Toronto, and lives and works in New York City. Her multidisciplinary practice spans painting, textile design and wearable objects, layering acrylic, paper, found materials and reclaimed plastic waste, including plastic bags collected on the streets of Manhattan, which she reworks into textiles, garments and mixed-media pieces addressing consumption and environmental instability. Her techniques include bobbin lace. Her work was presented at The National Arts Club, New York, in the exhibition Changing The World One Plastic Bag at a Time (December 2025 to January 2026).
